About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong domain knowledge in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving requirement gathering, solution design, and implementation support for key digital and financial transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, BRDs, FRDs, and process flows.
- Lead requirement workshops and stakeholder meetings across business units (Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Insurance, Investment, etc.).
- Perform gap analysis, impact assessment, and feasibility studies for system enhancements and new implementations.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and UX teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated and delivered.
- Support UAT planning, execution, and issue resolution.
- Maintain product backlogs and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Monitor KPIs and generate regular reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in the BFSI domain.
- Strong understanding of BFSI processes such as Core Banking, Lending, Payments, Insurance Operations, Wealth Management, or Regulatory Compliance.
- Experience in writing user stories, use cases, process diagrams (BPMN/UML), and functional specifications.
- Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Excel, Visio, etc.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with digital transformation projects, mobile/web banking platforms, or FinTech products.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like Basel, FATCA, AML/KYC, IRDA, SEBI guidelines.
- Exposure to APIs, data mapping, or integration projects.
- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or Agile (CSPO, SAFe, etc.) is a plus.
